She is an empirical microeconomist who primarily studies family economics and the economics of science and innovation. Currently, she is a Professor of Economics at Stanford University and an editor of the “Journal of Labor Economics.” Previously, she taught at the University of Chicago and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Yale University and a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. In 2017, she received the Sloan Research Fellowship and the Carlo Alberto Medal from the Collegio Carlo Alberto. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Turin.
