How is Europe responding to the shift of economic activity towards the Asian Continent and the U.S. government’s massive business support plans for the green transition? European state aid rules have been temporarily suspended for the pandemic, but will have to be reintroduced: should they be relaxed? Or would this relaxation favor only the largest European countries, jeopardizing the Single Market? How then can we strengthen European competitiveness?
