Bio

Fabian Waldinger is a professor of economics at the University of Munich. He has previously held faculty positions at the London School of Economics and the University of Warwick. He has held visiting positions at Harvard, MIT, and Berkeley. He received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. His research interests include economics of science and innovation, economic history, and labor economics. His research has been published in leading economics journals such as the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Political Economy, and the Review of Economic Studies. He has won a number of awards for his research, including a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC), the Gossen Prize of the German Economic Association in 2020, and the Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2016. He is a director and serves on the editorial board of the Review of Economic Studies.
