Biografia

Alessandra Venturini is Professor of Political Economy at the University of Torino, where she holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Migration Studies and directs the Diploma in Migration Studies. At the European University Institute from 2004-2017 she was Deputy Director of the CARIM project and founder and Deputy Director (2012-17) of the Migration Policy Centre (MPC). She is a well known international expert in migration studies, she worked for the European Commission and many international organizations and published extensively on the different effects and drivers of migration.
