Torino Futura @FIE
Since its first edition, the International Festival of Economics has placed new generations at the center of its mission. Our goal is to provide young people with the tools to decode the complexity of the contemporary world and to turn economic theories into compasses for their future.
Our initiatives are designed to respond to two crucial challenges:
- Deepening knowledge: We complement the school curriculum by offering high-level content and the perspectives of authoritative experts. Our aim is to bridge the information gap on major socio-economic issues, providing concrete interpretative tools to understand the present.
- Guidance: Through engagement with economics, finance, and technology, students can discover new interests and areas of application, enabling them to make more informed decisions about their educational and career paths.
This year as well, within the framework of Torino Futura – Generation of Culture, the Festival offers a rich program of preparatory activities dedicated to schools and young people.

1) The program “Economics Is Everywhere”, developed together with the Education area of Unione Industriali Torino, offers a series of lessons and workshops in economic and financial education designed to show how economics is present in everyday life. Through concrete examples, exercises, and practical activities, students are encouraged to interpret reality using the tools of economics and to reflect on key issues such as saving, the use of data, how digital markets function, the dynamics of social media, the role of trust, and the transformations linked to money and new technologies.

2) The program “Understanding Economics, Building the Future”, developed in collaboration with Legacoop Piemonte, is part of the cooperative entrepreneurship workshops organized by Legacoop Piemonte and the Collegio Carlo Alberto and guides students in understanding the main economic dynamics that affect both the academic world and the labor market. The program addresses topics such as how markets function and their limitations, the relationship between economics and well-being, the role of Italian industry in the global context, individual and collective economic choices, and the opportunities offered by the circular economy and innovation.
