Biografia

È professore di Economia tedesco-americano presso la University of California, Berkeley, dove dirige il Macro Labor Center for the Study on Aggregate Labor Markets, Policies, and Institutions. Si occupa di macroeconomia ed economia del lavoro. È consulente, visiting scholar e research professor presso diverse Federal Reserve Bank e presso la Bundesbank. Ha ricevuto la Sloan Research Fellowship, è stato nominato Kavli Fellow dalla National Academy of Sciences e ha ricevuto il Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award della Humboldt Foundation. Ha incarichi presso NBER, CEPR, IZA, CESifo e IWH Halle.


Benjamin Schoefer is a German-American economics professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where he serves as the Director of the Macro Labor Center for the Study on Aggregate Labor Markets, Policies, and Institutions. He studies macroeconomics and labor economics. He is a consultant, visiting scholar, and research professor at various Federal Reserve Banks and the Bundesbank. He has been awarded the Sloan Research Fellowship, appointed a Kavli Fellow by the National Academy of Sciences, and received the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Humboldt Foundation. He holds appointments at the NBER, CEPR, IZA, CESifo, and IWH Halle.
