John H. Cochrane è Rose Marie and Jack Anderson Senior Fellow presso la Hoover Institution della Stanford University. He is also an Adjunct Scholar of the CATO Institute, and affiliated with the Stanford GSB, SIEPR, and NBER. He was formerly professor of Finance at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He focuses on monetary economics and inflation, finance, and macroeconomics though he writes broadly on economic issues. His most recent books are The Fiscal Theory of the Price Level, Princeton University Press (2023), and Crisis Cycle: Challenges, Evolution and Future of the Euro, Princeton University Press (2025), with Luis Garicano and Klaus Masuch. He also writes the “Grumpy Economist” substack, opeds at the Wall Street Journal, and appears on the “Goodfellows” podcast.
