WHEN WORK IS NOT ENOUGH

Across Europe, a growing number of workers live in poverty despite having a job. This lecture explores the structural roots of in-work poverty – precarious contracts, stagnant wages and eroding social protections – and asks what social policy can do to ensure that work remains, or once again becomes, a reliable way out of poverty.
