The International Festival of Economics of Turin congratulates Joel Mokyr and Philippe Aghion, winners of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics.
Both have been key participants in several editions of our Festival, offering the Turin audience contributions of the highest level on the themes of economic growth, innovation, and the development of ideas.
Joel Mokyr, a world-renowned economic historian, has been among the guests since the first edition of the Festival and has repeatedly captivated audiences with his reflections on the relationship between knowledge, technological progress, and the prosperity of nations.
Philippe Aghion, one of the leading scholars of growth theory and the economics of innovation, has brought to Turin his vision of how competition and scientific research act as fundamental drivers of economic and social progress.
The recognition awarded today honors not only two extraordinary economists, but also two thinkers who have inspired generations of scholars and citizens.
