The International Festival of Economics joins in the memory of Philippe Martin, who passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Guest speaker for the second edition of the Festival, Philippe Martin was-among other things-dean of the School of Public Affairs and professor in the Department of Economics at Sciences Po, as well as vice president of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Philippe was a researcher of great analytical intelligence, a very fine popularizer, a leading figure in French economic policy as president of the Conseil d’analyse économique, and an “institution builder.” It is really rare to find so many gifts in one person.
