On university campuses, the ability to express oneself freely is essential; the exchange of diverse perspectives and open debate constitute the backbone of “higher education and the pursuit of truth. However, protecting freedom of speech does not imply that all forms of expression must be guaranteed and does not prevent a” university from imposing regulations when necessary. Where should the line be drawn between reasonable limitation and unacceptable restriction of freedom of expression?
