The Festival in the City

The Festival is a widespread event hosted in key locations throughout the city of Turin. Twelve magnificent venues to discover by walking or using our free shuttle service, and an open space where the FIE comes to life through talks, events, and entertainment.

All events are free to attend while seats last.

Booking is required for events hosted at the Auditorium of the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper. Further information on how to register will be available soon on this website.

Booking is also required for the workshops at the Museum of Saving and the Youtrend workshops.

a simultaneous translation service from English to Italian and vice versa is provided.

a sign language interpretation service is available.

Piazza Carlo Alberto will be a meeting point to engage the public through the voices and activities of our media partners, as well as a large bookshop where visitors can further explore the Festival’s themes. The FIE Bookshop is curated by Il Ponte sulla Dora and Binaria bookstores.

On May 31, June 1 and 2, entrance to the Museum of Saving will be exceptionally free of charge. A guided tour will also be available upon reservation.

Throughout the duration of the Festival, two photography exhibitions will be open to visitors at Collegio Carlo Alberto. Two visual journeys that portray some of the Festival’s key themes:

  • Notes on Migration. The sea route. Photographs by Andrea Borgarello.
  • TEEN4TEEN – A photography project on promoting adolescents’ mental well-being, created for the SPES Program – University of Turin and Social Community Theatre Centre. Curated by Chiara Agostinetto and Fabrizio Stasia, photographs by Chiara Agostinetto.

Both exhibitions are free and open to the public.

Sunday, June 1 at 9:00 PM at Binario 3 – OGR, the theatrical performance “Chi come me”, the latest hit by Andrée Ruth Shammah, will be staged.
